What inspires you? European style, bright colors, and whimsical modest clothing.
Tell us something that no one knows about you. Hmmm, I think I am a fairly open book. Most people know everything about me fast b/c I was raised in the country in TN and we tell everyone our life story in a span of a minute. ;) I have always felt God’s hand leading me and I believe my designs are God breathed and inspired. I pray before I create each new design.
Who do you admire most? Jesus.
What do you like most about what you do? Seeing children light up with joy and twirl around in their new clothes…I think the right clothes can inspire creativity and self confidence. Kids need that now more than ever and the modesty of the designs helps.
Are you married? YES! Have kids? 2 girls! Pets? Yes! 2 cats!
Can you tell us one of your secret tips??? This is tough. For those wanting to top stitch and have professional looking items, I recommend a serger machine (IT IS A MUST!) and the right sewing machine feet can make top stitching SIMPLE! Learn how to use your machine and the rest falls into place! Online tutorials ABOUND, research, read, practice practice practice! I cannot tell you how many wonkie peasant tops I made (including sewing arms on upside down!) and in time, it all made sense to me. Hang in there!
Anything else you would like to share? I would like to thank the past, present and future buyers of MamiGirlBoutique from all the corners of my heart! You have helped give our family groceries, pay our bills, and stay afloat. A personal message? I thank you both for the honor of being your first featured designer. I have known you both a long time and I admire both of you for your commitment to Christian values, your friendship, and your support. I will pray for good things for your blog and future endeavors!
